For many years, now, it has been used to treat these conditions with great success, both clinically and at home. It's a fact that the Verseo generates enriched oxygen, and oxygen kills bacteria. The high-frequency current gently stimulates and exfoliates as it improves blood flow in the treated areas. High-frequency current has also been shown to increase the absorption and penetration of products into your skin, making them more effective, along with increased production of collagen and elastin in the skin. Note that, due to its stimulating effect, the Verseo is not recommended for Rosacea, or areas of skin with broken capillaries.

History
High-frequency current was discovered in the 1800's by Nikola Tesla. Its anti-bacterial effect and other health benefits were noted, and it was used to treat strep throat and other infections before the advent of 'modern' antibiotics. In the 1970's, European salons discovered the cosmetic and healing benefits of high frequency electrical stimulation on the skin, and by the 1980's, it was being used in North America. High frequency current provides three mechanisms that are beneficial to the skin:

1) gentle, pulsing current stimulates cells and increases blood flow;
2) oxygenation that is anti-bacterial and promotes healing, and
3) deeper penetration of skin care products for more effective results.

When this technology was introduced, the instruments were large and expensive, and so were the treatments. Several years ago, it was condensed into an affordable handheld device that clients could take home to augment and extend their clinical treatments for even more effective and dramatic results.

These are all the same reasons we use the Verseo at our clinic — but, most of all, because it works! Now, you can begin or enhance your anti-aging, anti-acne Verseo OFS program at home.

How to use the Verseo with your favorite skin care products for clearer and more beautiful, youthful skin:

1. Cleanse your skin with a pH-balanced facial cleanser (not soap), and pat dry. It's important to always begin your treatment with freshly cleansed and balanced skin;

2. Apply moisturizer, benzoyl peroxide or other skin care lotion or cream that is appropriate for your skin type and condition;

3. Turn the Verseo on;

4. For first time users, touch the bulb to your hand to experience the tingling sensation. You will notice the scent of the enriched oxygen and can hear the instrument working.

Use a comfortable setting. First time users may want to start at the 2 or 3 level. Glide the bulb either in circular motions or linear motions all over the face and other afflicted areas for 1 or 2 minutes only. Note: after two or three treatments higher levels will be easily tolerated;

5. If you have blemishes, target each pimple, or enlarged pore area directly with the Verseo. For a quicker response, lift the bulb slightly off the skin and adjust as necessary, so that the Verseo is still working. Pulling too far away will stop the Verseo's action. Go around each pimple or enlarged pore for 30 to 40 seconds at a level as high as comfortably tolerated;

6. Finish by applying a pH-balanced moisturizer, such as glycolic acid, retin-A or alpha hydroxy acids (AHA's). Do not use alcohol — it tends to dry the skin. It is important to keep acne-prone complexions pH-balanced and hydrated so the skin can continue to flush itself;

This entire treatment takes 3 to 6 minutes and can be done up to 3 times per day. When you start to see improvements, once or twice per day will be sufficient to maintain your smoother, more beautiful complexion.

Pimples
The Verseo Oxygen Facial System is a drug-free alternative to help clear unsightly blemishes and embarrassing Acne and pimples. Just like the professional commercial unit, the Verseo produces a fine spray of enriched oxygen to purify the skin. Enlarged pores are welcome traps to debris and bacteria, and the Verseo OFS helps diminish pore size by helping cleanse them and eliminate the debris.

The result is a clearer complexion in just a few days, without potentially dangerous oral or topical medications.

Cleanse your skin with a pH-balanced skin cleanser;
Apply acne medication;
and treat affected area with the Verseo;
Concentrate on individual blemishes with circular motion over blemish, pulling slightly away from skin for best results. Adjust power to maintain bulb's operation (you can hear when it's working) at the highest setting possible without discomfort; treat individual blemishes for 30-40 seconds.
Treatment time: 3 to 5 minutes, two to three times per day.

Fine Lines and Wrinkles
The Verseo has a stippling activity which is like hundreds of fingers patting the skins surface at 10,000 cycles per second. This activity provides a gentle exfoliation, and stimulates blood flow, and the production of collagen and elastin. The result is plumper, firmer skin.

The Verseo promotes a deeper penetration of skin care product, causing a marked difference, compared to using wrinkle creams alone. When moisturizers penetrate into the skin they can nourish deeper into the tissue and cause a cushioning effect. The Verseo also produces enriched oxygen, which naturally purifies the skin, much like a natural and a non-invasive exfoliation. This mild exfoliation leaves the skin more receptive to moisturizers or wrinkle creams. When using the Verseo for about 1 minute before applying any products, more debris is eliminated and our products work more effectively. Instead of debris lingering in the skin tissue, moisturizer is taking its place.

As we age, our skin gets thinner, so it's more fragile and vulnerable to fine lines and wrinkles. By the age of 40, we experience a 60% increase in lines and wrinkles -- women more so than men. Using Verseo in conjunction with a moisturizer doubles the cushioning effect. Puffy Eyes
The Verseo imitates hundreds of tiny fingers patting the skin's surface at 10,000 cycles per second can aid in decongesting puffy and saggy eyes and help to eliminate the dark circles.

Creams and lotions do not have an "activity function," and are applied superficially, often with very limited response. To create a more firmed appearance and diminish the appearance of swelling, an activity must take place. The Verseo's pulsing action helps disperse the excess fluid, while increasing blood circulation in the area.

Cleanse the skin around your eyes with a pH-balanced cleanser;
Apply a light moisturizer or eye lotion around the eyes;
Set the Verseo to it's lowest setting of 1 (the eye area is sensitive), and use the Verseo above and below the eyes, moving from the nose area toward the side of the face.
Treatment time: approximately 1 to 2 minutes per eye, two to three times per day.
