Step 1 — Clean
Clean skin is critically important, because you probably already know that bacteria is the root cause of the breakouts and inflammation associated with acne. Obagi's Foaming Cleanser employs salicylic acid to clear out the debris of dead skin and
sebum (oil), then uses menthol to cool and calm your irritated skin.
Step 2 — Prepare
This step preps the skin to fully absorb the BPO in step 3. Salicylic acid is used to gently exfoliate the skin, and specially denatured alcohol acts as a antibacterial agent. Now your skin is ready to absorb the active ingredient in Step 3.
Step 3 — Treat
