| · Before application, shower or
bathe with a non-moisturizing soap or cleanser; use a
glycolic body cleanser to exfoliate dead skin for a more even tan.
· Apply with TanTowel folded, and
unfold as you expand the area of application;
· Initially, two applications are
helpful in the first 24 hours to "jump start" your tan;
· Normally, one to two
applications per week are recommended to maintain a healthy,
golden tan. Too frequent application may result in an orange hue;
· Allow to dry after the
application, or wear loose fitting clothes immediately after
applying;
· Limit your physical activity
for several hours following the TanTowel application;
· Avoid immersion in water until
the next day, if possible. This will allow your tan to fully
develop;
· The active ingredient, DHA,
reacts with wool, nylon and silk, so avoid wearing these fabrics
during or immediately after applying;
· Maintain your tan by using a
daily skin moisturizer. Also, avoid long, hot showers, hot tubs
and chlorinated swimming pools.
· The tan appearance you get from
TanTowel does not protect your skin from the sun or UV
rays, nor will it sensitize your skin. Sunscreens or sunblocks
should be worn whenever you are exposed to the sun or UV rays, as
if your skin were absolutely pale. As always, avoid overexposure
to the natural sun to prevent the risk of painful burns,
cancer-causing skin damage and premature aging;
· DHA has been approved by the
FDA for cosmetic applications for over 30 years. People with
allergies should determine that they are not allergic to DHA, or
patch test their skin prior to use. |
